Over fifteen years of experience understanding people, relationships and the pressures behind achievement.
I bring more than fifteen years of combined experience across people leadership, psychology and psychotherapy. Throughout that work, the central theme has always been relationships—the relationship you have with yourself and the ones you build with the people who matter.
I trained to postgraduate level in psychology and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My therapeutic work is informed by experience across clinical practice, senior people leadership and organisational life.
I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and undertake ongoing clinical supervision—the quiet infrastructure behind thoughtful, responsible therapeutic practice.
I am an integrative psychotherapist. In practice that means the work is shaped around you, drawing on several rigorous traditions rather than administering one by protocol: Transactional Analysis, compassion-focused therapy, and schema-based approaches, among others.
Over my career I have developed a clinical framework I call the Three Voices — a way of understanding the internal dialogue that drives high performance and, left unexamined, quietly undermines it. The exacting inner critic that built your standards. The overridden voice that carries what you actually feel. The steadier adult perspective that gets crowded out precisely when it is needed most. Much of our work is learning to hear these voices clearly — and to change which one is running the room.
Sessions are weekly, 60 minutes, and unhurried in character even when the material is difficult. I will not hand you a workbook or a five-step plan. This is depth work: we are interested in the origin of a pattern, not just its most recent appearance, because that is what makes change hold.
You can expect me to be warm, direct, and unimpressed by titles in the best possible way. The room — physical or virtual — is one place where you do not have to be the most capable person present.
Individuals who have arrived somewhere in life and found the deeper questions waiting. People rediscovering a long relationship or themselves within it. Those who struggle to feel close to others or to themselves. If that is you, or close to it, the next step is a brief and completely confidential enquiry.
